Eid-ul-Azha is knocking on the corner. On Eid day, Monday, the main Eid congregation in the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) will be held at 7:30am at the National Eidgah ground.
The president, members of the cabinet, diplomats from Muslim countries stationed in Dhaka, and prominent individuals will perform their prayers at this congregation.
Therefore, during the prayer and the period leading up to it, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) will restrict traffic on several nearby roads.
This traffic directive was issued by the DMP Traffic Division, Ramna, on Sunday.
According to the directive, from the morning, vehicles will not be allowed to operate at the Matsya Bhaban crossing, Hotel Intercontinental crossing, and Katabon crossing. Diversions will be set up to redirect traffic through alternative routes. However, pedestrians will be able to access the Eidgah through these points.
The DMP has also indicated that vehicles arriving for the Eid congregation should park at the University of Dhaka's gymnasium ground, Fuller Road, and the Mohsin Hall grounds.
