Metro rail will not operate on the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr and service will remain closed on Friday as before.
MAN Siddique, managing director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL), said this in a press conference organized at DMTCL's meeting room in the capital on Sunday afternoon.
He said that there will be no change in the timing of metro rail movement for the first 15 days of Ramadan, but the train movement time will be increased by one hour from both ends for the last 15 days.
During the last 15 days, the last metro train from Uttara will leave at 9:20pm while the last train from Motijheel will go towards Uttara at 9:40pm. Train departure time in the morning will remain same.
