The authorities have begun tearing down the VVIP terminal of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport to make way for the airport's third terminal.
Countless national and foreign dignitaries, including the president and prime minister, have used this terminal during their travels.
A new VVIP terminal will be constructed under the third terminal project. However, the existing VVIP terminal is being demolished for the project work. A temporary terminal has been constructed at the airport for VVIP passengers.
Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Executive Director Group Captain Mohammad Kamrul Islam said the current VVIP terminal is being demolished for the third terminal's taxiway. However, a temporary terminal has been constructed for use at this time.
