A fire that broke out on Friday in a plastic pipe factory in Nimtoli, a neighbourhood in Old Dhaka, has been doused.
The fire started at 4:43pm at Ma-Babar Doa plastic factory on Majed Sardar road, said Shahjahan Shikder, deputy assistant director (media cell) of the Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters.
"Four firefighting units managed to control the flames around 5:20pm. The fire was completely doused around 5:35pm," he added.
No casualties have been reported so far. The origin of the fire is yet to be known, added the officer.
