A schoolgirl has reportedly committed suicide by hanging herself following a dispute with boyfriend.
Afsan Opi, 17, was an SSC examinee and her body was recovered from a rented house in Dhaka's Mugda area around 2:15pm on Monday, said Mugda police station Sub Inspector (SI) Ferdousi Akhter
Opi’s mother, Shilpi Begum, said she came back home to find her daughter hanging from the ceiling fan and informed police.

“My daughter had a relationship with a man named Mezbah, 26, whom she has known from Facebook. They regularly argued which might have led my daughter to commit suicide. I want justice for her death,” Shilpi Begum added.
SI Ferdousi Akhter said after legal proceedings the was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue for autopsy.
The exact cause of death will be known after receiving the autopsy report and through investigation, she added.
