A construction worker has died after falling from the fourth floor of a nine-storey under construction building near Gandaria Sadhana Building in Dhaka.
The deceased Joydul Rari, 40, son of late Shaheed Rari from Sakhipur upazila of Shariatpur district, lived with his family in a rented house on North Jurain Mirhajirbagh Pipe road in the capital.
The Incident happened around 5pm on Wednesday.
Joydul inadvertently fell down while working on the fourth floor of the building, said his colleague Akash.
Later, he was rushed to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital(DMCH)where on-duty doctors declared him dead around 7pm, confirmed DMCH police outpost In-Charge Inspector Bachchu Mia.
The body has been kept in the hospital's morgue for autopsy, said the inspector.
