The probe committee formed by the Chhatra League to inquire into the death of Buet student Abrar Fahad has found evidence that the attackers, who beat the student to death, were drunk.
The central Chhatra League committee also raised questions on the silence of the administration for a couple of hours when the attackers tortured Abrar in room 2011 of Sher-e-Bangla Hall of the university.

Yeaz Al Riad, vice president of central Chhatra League, who led the two-member probe body, said they came up with the findings after speaking to administration, general students, law enforcement agencies and detectives.
Video footages of the incident were also analyzed to identify the attackers, he said adding that 11 members of the Buet unit of the student wing were expelled following their recommendations.
Abrar, a second year student of electrical and electronic engineering department of the university, was beaten to death on Monday.
Some Chhatra League leaders have been accused of beating him for his alleged involvement with Islami Chhatra Shibir, the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami.
Meanwhile, Abrar's father Barkat Ullah filed a murder case against 19 people with Chawkbazar police station on Monday evening.
Later, Bangladesh Chhatra League expelled 11 of its members permanently from the organization for their involvement in Abrar’s murder.
Abrar’s death sparked protest across Bangladesh. The protesters have demanded justice for Abrar and capital punishment for the murderers.
As of now, 13 people have been arrested in connection to the murder.
