The Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) anti-mosquito drive continues for a second day at Dhaka's Gulshan 1 DCC market area.
Apart from destroying Aedes mosquito larvae and their breeding grounds, the drive also evicted several illegal establishments in the area on Wednesday.
Confirming the matter, DNCC Chief Revenue Officer Abdul Hamid Mia told Dhaka Tribune: "The inspection team has visited Gulshan 1 DCC market area, where they have found Aedes larvae in adjacent illegal establishments."
"We have evicted the illegal establishments and warned their owners," he added.

The combing operation is still underway.
Both city corporations in Dhaka launched the combing operation together, in order to destroy Aedes larvae in different areas of the capital, from August 20 in a bid to cut down the spread of dengue virus.
Dengue, a mosquito borne virus, spreads among human populations through its carrier, the Aedes mosquito.
