A man has been killed after being run over by a truck in Dhaka.
The accident took place at the Motsho Bhaban area around 4am on Thursday. The deceased and the truck driver are both yet to be identified.
Shahbag Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Motiur Rahman said the body has been sent to the Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy.
The man was run over by the truck while crossing the road, and died on the spot. The truck driver abandoned his vehicle and fled the scene, the SI added.
He further said efforts to identify and arrest the culprit were under way.
