A marine engineer has gone missing in Dhaka while travelling back to his home.
Saddam Hossain, 28, left his home in Mirpur’s Pallabi to go to the Department of Shipping office at Motijheel at 6:30am Tuesday, his brother Jahangir Hossain told the Dhaka Tribune.
At 3:30pm, Saddam spoke to his mother over phone, telling her he was in a bus heading home. When he spoke to another relative at 5pm, he said he was at Mohakhali.
His phone has been switched off since.
A general diary has been filed at Rupnagar police station.
Saddam is a graduate of Bangladesh Marine Academy’s 47th batch. His last workplace was United Shipping Limited.
