Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal has warned corrupt and dishonest traders—and businessmen—of the country that their illegal activities will not be spared.
He remarked this while addressing the press at the inauguration ceremony of Rupali Bank's Annual Business Conference 2019, at Dhaka's Krishibid Institute.
He said: "We will take strict action against all dishonest and corrupt businessmen of the country.
"People and organizations cooperating and helping such fraudsters will also be brought under the law and punished accordingly."
"The banks and financial organizations providing loans to these people will not be spared either," he added.
Among others: Bangladesh Bank Governor Fazle Kabir, Rupali Bank Chairman Manzur Hossain, and Md. Ataur Rahman were present at the event.
