Senior journalist Kallol injured in road accident in Dhaka

Senior journalist Asif Showkat Kallol sustained injuries in a road accident that occurred in the Arambagh area of the capital on Tuesday. Kallol was injured in his left leg when a bus hit his motorcycle. Later, he was admitted to Asgar Ali hospital in Gandaria. Kallol's wife Farzana Afrose Parul said: "He has sustained injuries to his left leg in the accident. We will inform of more details after he is cleared from the emergency unit." Meanwhile, Inspector (Investigation) Golam Rabbani with Motijheel police station  confirmed that a team has been sent to Arambagh area to investigate the incident. Kallol, who was a chief reporter at Dhaka Tribune, has also worked with New Age, Daily Sun, and other leading dailies. He is the son of the late veteran novelist Showkat Ali.
