SPEED awards school program learners with certificates

The Services for Professional Education and Enterprise Development (SPEED) awarded the graduating learners of the school program with certificates on Thursday. A program was arranged at the STM hall of the Senior Section of the Scholastica school in Uttara, Dhaka to mark the achievement of the teachers. The event was graced by Itrat M Rahman, head of training and development unit at Scholastica, as chief guest, and Farhana Bari, head of primary at International School Dhaka, as special guest to encourage the awardees’ feat. Among the teacher and trainers, Khadiza Afrin, Oisi Rubaina and Farhana Alam delivered speech on the occasion. A total of 35 teachers from different schools, such as the International School Dhaka (ISD), Canadian International School, Manarat Dhaka International School and College, Maple Leaf International School, Sir John Wilson, Summerfield School and Scholastica, were awarded with certificates on Thursday. Fifteen of them were awarded Cambridge certification for completing the five-month CCiTL course, and 20 awardees received certificates for completing the yearlong SPEED Diploma in Teaching and Learning (SDiTL) course. SPEED has been running Cambridge certificate and diploma programs, CCiTL and CDiTL, successfully since 2015. Over 120 teachers are enrolled in the course. SPEED is an accredited centre of Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE).
