Muktamoni, who underwent a successful operation to remove malignant growth from her arm, has been kept at intensive care unit (ICU) Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
“Muktamoni has hospital-acquired pneumonia but she is now out of danger,” Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit Director Prof Abul Kalam Azad told the Dhaka Tribune on Sunday.
He said: “We will keep her under observation for next 24 hours. She will be shifted to cabin tomorrow.”

Hospital-acquired pneumonia (HAP) refers to any pneumonia contracted by a patient in a hospital at least 48–72 hours after being admitted.
11-year-old Muktamoni, who had been suffering from a rare disease that resulted in a malignant growth on her right arm, has been cured after a series of medical operations at DMCH.
