DMP: More militants hiding in Dhaka

Police say they suspect other associates of militant Saiful Islam, who blew himself up during Tuesday's anti-terror raid in Dhaka, could be hiding in the city. “These militants are incapable of carrying out large scale attack,” Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia said at an event on Wednesday. Police have identified militant Saiful as a member of New Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (New JMB). Saiful, 21, blew himself up on Tuesday after he was cornered by police during a raid on a hotel in Panthapath. Only hours before the incident, President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina were paying respects to the Father of the Nation on the National Mourning Day at the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum, located roughly 300 metres away from the hotel.
