A Bogra court has summoned a total of 361 people in a case filed for attacking Nandigram police station and upazila Chairman's house on March 3, 2013.
The court on Wednesday asked the accused persons to appeare before it on June 14.
Earlier on March 3, 2013, Jamaat-Shibir activists spread a rumour that war criminal Delawar Hossain Sayedee’s face was seen on the moon using loudspeakers.
Jamaat-Shibir activists, after the rumour spread, set fire to 17 government offices of Nondigram Upazila Parishad circle, 15 establishments and seven police stations in different areas of Bogra.
They also burned down different private organisations and households.
Police filed 59 cases, including 10 murder cases, accusing over one lakh people in connection with the violence.
Jamaat-Shibir men used gun powder for torching the structures.
As a result, the fire raged through the areas and gutted important documents and properties.
Public Prosecutor Md Helalur Rahman said: “Among a total of 44 cases, police submitted charge sheets of 21 cases. We submitted final reports of two cases.”
Investigations in the rest 21 cases have been going on, he added.
According to the charge sheets submitted before the court, allegations were brought against 3,000 activists of Jamaat and BNP.
