The Police have raided the houses of two accomplices of Nur Hossain, the prime accused of Narayanganj seven-murder case, on Wednesday Evening.
Deputy Inspector General of district police Mainur Rahman said: “The police raided the houses of Nur's aides Mamun and Matiur Rahman Moti on Wednesday evening in order to arrest the accused.
Two point-three pistols and five rounds of bullets have been seized from Mamun's house in Simrial,”
The police official further said: “Sensing the presence of police, Moti, who is a local Awami League leader, fled his Siddhirganj house.”
Police said Moti has been controlling the RMG leftover business of Adamji EPZ. He had robbed seven trucks of leftovers at gunpoint a week before the murder incident.
Mainur said: “There was a long standing dispute between Nur Hossain and Nazrul Islam over taking the control of leftover business.”
