A couple has been chopped to death at their residence in Geunda Bazaar area of Fatulla in the district.
The deceased were identified as Aman Ullah, 60, and his wife Hosne Ara.
Police recovered the bodies on Monday morning.
Abul Bashar, sub-inspector of Fatulla police station, confirmed the Dhaka Tribune about the deaths.
He said Aman Ullah had disputes over land with the son of his first wife Razia Begum Rina.
“It is believed that Razia's son Arif might have killed the duo following the dispute,” the SI said.
Police detained Razia Begum's brothers -- Alamgir and Abu Bakar Siddique -- in this connection.
