Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Friday commented that Detective Branch (DB) and Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) came up with full details about the death of Bangladesh University of Engineering (BUET) student Fardin Noor Parsh after thorough analysis.
RAB and DB police have beautifully explained all the matters, said the minister.
He also urged for keeping trust in the investigative agencies in this regard.
Asaduzzaman said these things while responding to reporters after placing a floral wreath at the Martyrs' Memorial at Rajarbagh Police Line in the capital, marking the 52nd Victory Day.
The minister also suggested talking to RAB and DB if there is anything to know about this.
In response to a question in this regard, Asaduzzaman further said: "DB and RAB can speak well in this regard. I don't want to talk about this issue now.”
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal laid the wreath at the police memorial at 7:50 am.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police Additional Commissioner (DB) Harun-or-Rashid on Wednesday claimed that Fardin committed suicide by jumping into the river out of frustration and mental stress over financial problem.
RAB also made the same claim in a press conference later on the day.
Police recovered Fardin's body from the Shitalakhkhya River, behind a cotton mill at Siddhirganj, on November 7, three days after he went missing.
Fardin's father Nur Uddin Rana filed a case with Rampura police station against Fardin's friend named Bushra and some unidentified person on November 10.
The autopsy report, his family and classmates claimed that Fardin was murdered.
