A court on Tuesday placed two staffers of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) on a five-day remand each in a case lodged with the capital's Paltan model police station over the alleged leaking of BCS question papers.
The two remanded accused are office assistant Md Abdul Azim and cleaner Rupon Chandra Das.
Dhaka Additional Metropolitan Magistrate Md Ziadur Rahman passed the order.
Police arrested the duo last week in front of the BPSC headquarters in the capital's Agargaon area and recovered two mobile phones, question papers for different government recruitment tests, admit cards, chequebooks and cash from their possession.
Police produced Azim and Rupon before the court on Wednesday and pleaded for placing them on a 10-day remand each.
The court on that day had set Tuesday for holding the hearing on the remand plea.
CID Sub-Inspector Nippon Chandra Chanda filed the case on July 8 against 31 persons.
A total of 22 persons, including a former driver of the PSC chairman, were arrested after that.
