HC stays ACC's notice to Ruhul Amin Howlader

The High Court has stayed the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC)'s notice to former Secretary General of Jatiya Party ABM Ruhul Amin Howlader.

A bench of Justice Obaidul Hassan and SM Kuddus Zaman delivered the stay order for the duration of four weeks, after hearing a petition to challenge the legal status of the ACC's notice, on Wednesday.

Advocate AM Amin Uddin represented Ruhul, while Khurshid Alam Khan stood for ACC.

Ruhul was not present during the hearing, his lawyer confirmed.

Earlier on March 28, ACC Deputy Director Syed Ahmed summoned Ruhul for interrogation over claims of corruption.
