HC asks Tampaco owner, five employees to surrender

The court also granted bail to Makbul's wife Sajeda Parvin Hossain and his daughter Sayeda Abida Hossain in two cases filed over Tampaco factory fire in September this year.
The bench of Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice Zafar Ahmed issued the order on Wednesday following the hearing of a bail plea filed by the eight accused of the lawsuits.
The five Tampaco officials are Sayed Tanvir Ahmed, Shafiqur Rahman, Manir Hossain, Shafiuz Sami alias Alamgir Hossain and Abu Hanif.
Advocate Abdul Baset Majumder, Mahbub Ali and M Ataul Goni stood for the eight while Attorney General Mahbubey Alam, Deputy Attorney General Forhad Ahmed and Assistant Attorney General Bashir Ahmed for the prosecution.
