After much speculation, Amrita Khan is making her long-awaited debut on the big screen with “Game,” released in cinemas yesterday.
“I am really excited because the first film released in 2015 is one of mine, and is actually my first as well. Earlier I reckoned that this year would bring fortune for me and I hope this is the beginning.
“With everyone’s help, I hope to establish myself as a perfect actress on the big screen,” she said.
Jointly directed by M Sharfuddin Anik and Royal Khan, the film casts Nirab Hossain and Amrita Khan in the leading roles with Irfan Khan, Mukit Jakaria and Biplob in supporting roles.
Ramp model Ruma makes an appearance in the film with an item song while Bilop, vocalist of Prometheus, debuts on the big screen as the villain of the piece.
Amrita, a niece of late actor Khaled Khan, made her break-through appearance in a commercial made by Afzal Hossain in 2002. Currently the sizzling youth is busy with several big screen ventures including Ispahani Arif Jahan’s “Gunda: The Terrorist,” Wazed Ali Sumon’s “Pagla Diwana” and Razu Ahmed’s “Osomo Prem.”
The actress will fly to South Africa on January 4 to take part in the shooting of “Mission Africa,” directed by Maruf Khan Rizbhi.
