DU 'Kha' unit result out, pass rate 9.55%

The admission test result for the Dhaka University “Kha” unit under the academic year of 2014-15 has been published with a pass rate of 9.55%. 

Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor, AAMS Arefin Siddique, made the announcement around 6:30pm on Tuesday.

A total of 40,565 students sat for the tests held on September 19 and 3,874 of those students passed the test, resulting in the 9.55% pass rate.

The total marks for the Kha unit exam is 120, and it consists of four subjects: Bangla, English, General Knowlede-1 and General Knowledge-2, each carrying 30 marks.

Students who are not native in Bengali may answer in elective English.

A examinee has to achieve at least 48 marks in total and not less than 8 in the individual subjects.

The results are available at the university website. It can also be collected via SMS services from any operator.

To recieve results through SMS, candidates will have to type “DU” <space> “kha” <space> “roll number” and send it to 16321 from any mobile operator.

Successful candidates were asked to fill the admission form available at http://admission.eis.du.ac.bd from September 25 to October 1.

The University authority also fixed October 19 as the date for the viva-voce.
