Aparna is busy in last-minute preparations for the Eid special Teleplays. She has experimented with diverse roles and also with her look in the projects. In an interview with the Dhaka Tribune, Aparna said: “I have been working for Eid from April. I appeared in around 10 plays and telefilms including ‘Amar Tomar Golpo,’ ‘My Life,’ ‘Ulto Durbin’ and many others.”
One of the favourite of Aparna’s Eid ventures is telefilm “Vitamin T” that narrates stories of five friends who run after a big amount of big money. It satires the fact that the value of money apparently surpasses the value of relationships. Through a series of interesting events the friends understand how greed for money ruins friendships. Directed by Shafayeet Monsoor, the telefilm will be aired at 11:30 pm on the third day of Eid on NTV.
“The letter T stands for Taka. I also agree with the moral of the story that excess money has a bad influence over people.” Aparna further said: “Here I played one of the friends. Since my character was of a university student, it was challenging for me to adopt the look and attitude of a student.”
In the latest episode of “Made in Chittagong,” series, Aparna spoke in the local dialect of her hometown. “It was fun for me but not for the rest of the cast. This is the last part of ‘Made in Chittagong’ where I have paired with singer and actor Partha Barua. Also, in another drama serial ‘Hollabaji’ which is currently being aired on Banglavision, I had to deliver the local dialect of Brahmanbaria. Initially, I wanted to leave the project as it seemed very difficult for me, but with the help of the cast and crew, I made it.”
Aparna is excited to visit her parents in Chittagong this Eid. “We don’t get holidays that much. We even get offers/requests to attend many live TV and radio shows on the occasion of Eid. But, I prefer to be with my parents and enjoy this special occasion with the rest of my family,” said Aparna.
