Two leaders of Juba League, youth affiliate of ruling Awami League, have been killed as a bus rammed into a motorcycle in Joka area on Dhaka-Aricha highway in Manikganj on Saturday morning.
The deceased were identified as Sobjel Ali, 26, organising secretary of Baniajury Union Juba League, and Rubel Hossain, 25, publicity secretary of the unit.
Ghior police station Officer-in-Charge (investigation) Nazmul Nishat told the Dhaka Tribune that the bodies were sent to Manikganj Sadar hospital morgue.
He said Sobjel and Rubel were going to a party leader's residence in Pukuria area when the bus rammed into the bike they were riding on around 11:30am, leaving them dead on the spot.
Police held the bus driver after the accident, said the OC.
