A Narayanganj court has placed the bodyguard of Nur Hossain, the prime suspect in the seven murder case, on a five-day remand.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Monwara Begum passed the order on Saturday afternoon.
Mamunur Rashid Mandal, investigation officer in the seven abduction and murder case in Narayanganj, produced Mortuza Rahman Churchill before the court at 4:30pm.
Churchill was arrested from Faridpur by the DB Police early on Friday.
Narayanganj Panel Mayor Nazrul Islam and six others were abducted on April 27. Their bodies were found floating in the Shitalakkhya River on April 30.
Nazrul’s wife filed an abduction case against Nur and four others on April 28.
Nur went into hiding immediately after the recovery of Nazrul’s body.
