At least three people have been killed and 35 others injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch on Dhaka-Khulna highway at Pona area under Kashiani upazila in the district early Saturday.
The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Kashiani police station Officer-in-Charge Monirul Islam said: “A Narail-bound bus of ‘Diganta Paribahan’ plunged into a roadside ditch on Dhaka-Khulna highway in Pona area around 4am, leaving three people dead on the spot and 35 others injured.”
The injured were taken to Kashiani Upazila Health Complex, he added.
