The government has offered a number of incentives for the corporate companies to encourage them spend more money in the Corporate Social Activities (CSR) for the welfare of the society.
Finance Minister AMA Muhith said the tax ceiling for CSR expenditure would be raised from Tk8 crore to Tk12 crore annually, keeping the existing condition of allowable limit unchanged at 20% of the total income of any company.
He said the contribution limit was extended and approved by the government for the welfare of victims of natural disasters and accidents.
