The Walton Smart TV 1st Beach Bodybuilding starts at the Laboni Point of Cox’s Bazar sea beach from June 8. It will be the first ever bodybuilding event to be held at the longest sea beach of the world.
The three-day long event will see the bodybuilders from across the country flex their muscles in eight weight categories – 55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80 and 80+ Kgs. Bangladesh Bodybuilding Federation declared cash awards of five, three and two thousand taka for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.
Major Gen (rtd) Subid Ali Bhuiyan, the president of the bodybuilding federation, in a press conference held at the Bangabandhu National Stadium yesterday, hoped the initiative will open a new horizon for the bodybuilders of the country.
Walton additional director FM Iqbal bin Anwar Dawn, federation general secretary and former Mr. Bangladesh Nazrul Islam, Walton deputy director Shamsul Alam Ponir and others were also present on the occasion.
