The police have arrested Muktagachha upazila Chairman, and also the General Secretary of the police station BNP, Jakaria Harun, on Wednesday.
Muktagachha police station Officer-in-Charge Kamal Hossain said: “He was held from the municipality area. The BNP leader was wanted in a number of cases filed under the speedy trial act.”
Later, Harun was sent to jail.
