During her recent visit to Japan, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina offered Japan two Royal Bengal Tigers as gift.
The premier made the disclosure in a press conference about her visit to Japan on Saturday at Ganabhaban.
“Bangladesh is going to send the tigers so that the children of the country can learn the culture of Bangladesh,” she said.
In a query about whether Japan could preserve one of the extinct species in the cold weather, Sheikh Hasina said there is technology to simulate the tropical atmosphere where they could be best preserved, and this is the way Japan could preserve the tigers.
