Youth stabbed to death in Jessore

Miscreants have stabbed a youth to death at Laldighir Par area in Jessore over the distribution of the money of a stolen cell phone early Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Rashedul Islam Nissan, 28, son of Mahtab Alam of Loan Officepara in Jessore town.

Rafiqul Islam, acting officer-in-charge of Kotwali police station said: “Three people -- Chandra Shekhar Biswas of Bejpara, Moshiur Rahman of Mikepatti in Jessore town and Sohel of Guakhola village in Narail were arrested in connection with the killing.”

He said Nissan forfeited money of a stolen cell phone and had a feud with his partners.

He said: “The arrestees called him to the scene of murder and stabbed him indiscriminately around 12am, killing him on the spot.”

Police recovered the body and sent it to Jessore Medical Collage Hospital for autopsy.
