Chittagong’s rail communication with Dhaka and Sylhet has been restored after four hours on Wednesday.
Feni railway station master Mahbubul Alam has told the Dhaka Tribune.
“The train communication halted as three wagons of a Bogra-bound freight train veered off the tracks at Sadarpur area near Feni railway station around 5am,” he said.
On information, a rescue train from Laksam rushed to the spot around 7am and salvaged the derailed wagons. Later, train service resumed around 9am.
No casualties were reported in the incident, he informed.
