High-rises recommended instead of Rajuk plots

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Housing and Public Works has recommended the allocation of people in high-rise buildings instead of Rajuk plots.

The recommendation came from the regular meeting of the committee with its chairman Md Dabirul Islam in the chair on Tuesday.

According to the PID handout, the committee members have recommended high-rise buildings instead of Rajuk polts in order to curb the traffic jam in the capital.

They also recommended the formation of two sub-committees to investigate the issue of whether any plot or flat has been allocated violating the policy of allocating plots and flats.

The meeting also requested to review the policy.

Among others, the high officials concerned were present in the meeting.
