A transport strike throughout Rajshahi division demanding ban on shallow engine-driven vehicles on highways is underway for the second consecutive day.
Long route vehicles remained suspended in Bogra on Monday morning because of the strike.
Transport owners said they sat in discussions with the Bogra district authority on Sunday night. Another meeting was due at Rajshahi divisional commissioner's office at 3pm on Monday.
Meanwhile, northern transportation faced serious crunch especially for the supplies. Some hundreds of trucks carrying food supplies were held up in several areas.
