A total of eight witnesses, including three members of the law enforcing agencies, are set to give their deposition before the high-powered government’s probe body at the Narayanganj Circuit House on Thursday, the fifth day of public hearings.
The law enforcers are Narayanganj court Constables Omar Houlader and Rafiqul Islam and RAB 11 member Kamal Uddin.
The probe committee headed by Md Shahjahan Ali Mollah, additional secretary of the Public Administration Ministry, began recording the depositions at 4pm.
Additional District Commissioner of Narayanganj Mahbubur Rahman Habib said: “The fifth day hearing began at 4pm and today a total of eight people will be testified.”
Earlier the team held hearings on May 12, 15, 17 and 19. During the hearing, eyewitnesses testified before the probe committee.
Most of the people who testified told the committee that Shiddhirganj Awami League leader Nur Hossain had masterminded the abduction and killings in connivance with some officials of the local administration.
