Cattle trader beaten to death by BSF 

A Bangladeshi national has been beaten to death by the BSF members of Angrail camp along Putkhali frontier in Jessore early Monday. The deceased was identified as Sirajul Islam, 40, son of Siddiqur Rahman of Kayemkola under Jhikargachha upazila.  Subedar Farid Uddin, in-charge of Putkhali camp, 23 Border Guard Bangladesh told the Dhaka Tribune that the BSF personnel had beaten a Bangladeshi cattle trader to death along Putkhali frontier.  “The information was conveyed to the higher authority for taking further steps,” he added.  Jalal Uddin, a cattle trader and also business partner of the dead said the BSF members of Angrail camp picked up Sirajul and beat him to death when a number of traders were bringing cattle towards their residences early Monday.  Shafiqul Islam, officer in-charge of Benapole port police station said the police recovered the body from Putkhali frontier.
