The next mass hearing on Narayanganj’s abduction and killing of seven people will be held at power house of Siddhirganj.
Shahjahan Ali, head of the probe pannel, has made the disclosure while talking to the journalists at circuit house in Narayanganj on Thursday afternoon.
Earlier on the day, slain Narayanganj City Corporation Panel Mayor Nazrul Islam’s father-in-law Shahidul Islam demanded to hold the mass hearing at Siddhirganj.
Shahidul said: “People are hesitating to come to the circuit house in Narayanganj fearing Nur Hossain. So, the mass hearing should be held at Siddhirganj.”
On May 5, the High Court ordered an administrative investigation into the killing of Narayanganj Ward Counsillor Nazrul Islam, lawyer Chandan Sarkar and five of their associates.
The high-powered probe panel, formed with public administration Additional Secretary Shahjahan Ali in the lead, is now carrying out a mass hearing.
The seven people were abducted on April 27.
Later, their bodies surfaced in the Sitalakhya river. Autopsy report said they were murdered by professionals.
