The Walton 31st National Senior Men’s and 5th National Women’s Senior Women’s Wrestling got underway at the kabbadi stadium yesterday.
In the women’s section the first round of the 48, 53, 55, 58 and 60 kg weight category were held while the men’s section saw the weight categories of 57, 61, 65, 70, 97 and 125 kg being held in the first round. The finals will take place today.
BOA secretary general Syed Shahed Reza inaugurated the meet as the chief guest. Tabiur Rahman, the general secretary of Bangladesh Wrestling Federation along with F.M. Iqbal bin Anwar Dawn, the additional secretary of Walton and the country manager of Walton battery Sirajul Islam were also present on the occasion.
