Neighbors topples Amazing Spider-Man 2

Superhero Spider-Man’s reign at the top of the box office came to an end this weekend, as the Zac Efron and Seth Rogen comedy “Neighbors” kicked “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” from the number one slot at the Box Office.

“Neighbors/Bad Neighbours” in the UK, entered the box office this week and pulled in a respectable $51m , pushing “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” down to second position with the web spinner only managing to garner another $37.2m, reports Cinema Blend.

Spider-Man’s drop forced “The Other Woman” down a place to third as the movie pulled in $9.2m, whilst “Heaven is for Real” also fell one place to fourth with $7m.

Likewise, “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” was also shunted down one place to fifth after pulling in another $5.6m, and “Rio 2” dropped a place down to sixth with $5.1m.

Entering the box office charts at number seven is “Moms’ Night Out” that managed to garner $4.2m, and also entering the box office charts to sit in eighth place is “Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return,” which managed to pull in $3.7m.

Falling down two places to hit ninth position is “Divergent” after pulling in another $1.7m, and bringing up the rear, down four places to sit at tenth is “Brick Mansions” after managing to drag in another $1.4m.
