Drive to arrest the ex-RAB trio, alleged to be involved in abduction and killing of seven people in Narayanganj, will begin anytime.
Narayanganj Superintendent of Police Dr Khandaker Mahid Uddin made the statement while talking to reporters at his office on Monday afternoon.
The dismissed officials are former Narayanganj RAB 11 Commanding Officer Tarek Sayeed Mohammad, Nahir Arif Hossain and Lt Commander SM Rana.
The SP said: “We have received the High Court order to arrest the three RAB officials. We are taking preparation for the drive to arrest them.”
The High Court ordered for arresting the three 'fired' RAB officials on Sunday.
Narayanganj city Ward Counsillor Nazrul Islam, lawyer Chandan Sarkar and five others were abducted on April 27. Their bodies surfaced in the Shitalakkhya River three days later. Autopsy report said the seven persons were murdered by professionals.
Later Nazrul's father-in-law alleged that the ex-RAB trio were hired in exchange for Tk6 crore to abduct and kill the seven.
Following the allegation RAB sent the three officials to forced retirement.
