On the occasion of Mother’s Day, NTV will be airing a special TV drama titled Nupur today at 9pm.
Written by Najnin Hasan Chumki and directed by Chayanika Chowdhury, the cast features Tarin, Apurba, Diti, Jamal Uddin Hossain and others.
The drama portrays the blessed relationship between a daughter and a mother. Nupur is the only daughter of Aminur Rashid and his wife. The father wants his daughter to be married to an established man after finishing her studies while her mother wants Nupur to establish herself as a prominent dancer. The contradiction of desires between parents becomes cause for contention.
While the parents battle it out, Nupur frequently skips her dance classes to meet with boyfriend Abir. When she gets caught by her mother, her situation becomes more complicated. Nupur elopes with Abir on a whim.
She quickly begins to regret her decision from the very first day of the marriage, finding herself in a situation she cannot escape. Eventually, she begins a new life as a dancer and realises that her mother knew best after all.
