Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed said Bangladesh has turned into an attractive place for investment and foreign investors are eager to invest here by building industrial parks.
The minister came up with the observation while inaugurating the Jamuna Electronics and Automobile factory in the Sinabo area in Shafipur, Gazipur on Saturday afternoon.
He said: “Earlier, we earned foreign currencies by exporting jute products and garments, but we had to import electronic goods from abroad.
But now we are waiting to export electronic goods as well.”
Terming the Jamuna Electronics and Automobile factory as another feather on the country's hat of development, Tofail said the Jamuna Group has just set up a world-class factory with local money.
