Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has emphasised on the use of digital technology in film making.
The premier was addressing the National Film Award 2012 distribution programme at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital on Saturday afternoon.
“In the digital era, it is necessary to use digital technology in film making,” she said.
She called upon the film makers to stop making obscene cinemas.
She also urged the film makers to make films that reflect the history of the liberation war and uphold the aesthetic fineness.
“The cinema halls across the country should be modernised for the development of the film industry,” Hasina said.

In her speech, the prime minister mentioned her government's effort for the development of the country's film industry.
Later, the prime minister handed over the National Film Award-2012 to 23 film artistes and technicians in 24 categories for their outstanding performances in the industry.
