Abducted housewife found dead in Joypurhat

A housewife, who was abducted from capital's Mirpur, has been found dead at Adarshapara village of Joypurhat on Friday morning.

Mukta Dhar, senior assistant superintendent of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, confirmed the Dhaka Tribune about the recovery of the body.

“As per the information from the arrestees in the abduction case, police conducted a raid in Suborna's in-laws house on Friday morning. The decomposed body of the victim was recovered from the safety tank of the house,” said the senior ASP.

Suborna, went missing in January. Suborna's family members alleged that her in-laws had taken her to Joypurhat from Mirpur. Since then, she remained missing.

Police arrested four persons including Suborna's mother-in-law in a case filed by Suborna's family regarding the abduction.
