The US Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of Energy Resources Robert F Ichord has arrived in the capital on Wednesday morning for a four-day official visit to Bangladesh.
During the visit Ichord will discuss with the government about the energy sector, reports BSS.
In the meeting, the ways for ensuring energy access by all within 2030, doubling the rate of energy efficiency and also doubling the share of renewable energy in the total energy generation in Bangladesh will be tabled.
Robert F Ichord works for promoting the transformation of energy systems to achieve greater efficiency and cleaner performance through use of market forces and innovative financing approaches.
