Narayanganj police has handed over the NCC councillor Nazrul Islam murder case along with seven cases to Detective Branch (DB) of Police on Sunday afternoon.
Narayanganj Police Super Dr Khandakar Mohid Uddin confirmed the Dhaka Tribune about the transfer of the cases.
The Narayanganj panel mayor Nazrul Islam, was among the six bodies that surfaced in the Sitalakkhya River. Nazrul along with the six victims, was kidnapped in broad daylight on April 27.
After the kidnap, Nazrul's wife Selina Islam filed an abduction case against Nur Hossain, vice-president of Siddhirganj thana AL unit, general secretary Hazi Yasin and four others, on the next day.
