Country’s popular Indie rock band Shironamhin will launch a smart phone application containing the band’s trivia, members bio, images of various performances and the songs from the band’s latest self-titled album - Shironamhin (Untitled as Always). The app is expected to hit the market during the first week of May. In an interview with the Dhaka Tribune, the band’s major songwriter, bassist and founding member Ziaur Rahman Zia confirmed that the smart phone app will reach the audience very quickly comprising of the lyrics/chord of all the songs of Shironamhin’s latest album and many other distinctive features. At first, the songs of the recent album will only be available in the app and later, when the copyright issues of their other songs are resolved, they will be added to the tracklist.
Android and iOS users will get the opportunity to download the app in their devices and listen to the songs even if they go offline.
Another feature of the app includes the opportunity of Shironamhin fans to interact with the band directly and get prompt reply to their queries and messages.
Zia said: “We were always looking for straightforward ways to get to our fans and this app is just the tool which will make it possible. Very soon, all our songs will be available in the app.”
Shironamhin has made a good impression on the music enthusiasts of the country through their unique musical and lyrical compositions. In many of their numbers, they have infused traditional classical instruments such as sarod, esaraj, mandira and dotara along with rock music. The band is now busy producing a song for the film Padmo Patar Jol, directed by Tonmoy Tansen.
