Two terrorists have been shot in a gunfight with law enforcers in Moheshkhali upazila, Cox's Bazar, according to police.
The two, tagged as terrorists, were identified as Sanaullah and Helal.
Law enforcers conducted a drive in Chaliatali area on Friday morning, Moheshkhali police station Officer-in-Charge Alamgir Hossain said.
“The terrorists opened fire when police reached the spot. Police retaliated with fire. Two of the terrorists were shot. They have been detained.”
The detainees were taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital for treatments.
Sanaullah is an accused in at least 26 cases while Helal is accused in 12, the official said.
